@samah, i actually disagree, whether it's birth you talk about, i was born somewhere i still have an attachment to but can't live in anymore for various reasons (Jeddah, saudi)
my heritage starts somewhere else (armenian) which I'm only passively attached to... ask me about armenian food and i'll mix it with lebanese.
being "lebanese" i've found i'm slowly growing tired of here too.
i don't know where home is. i hope to find it in the future, whether it's somewhere i already know or somewhere i've never stepped before.
(oh, and i went to an international school, so i have friends from many corners of the globe, from which i've picked up non-lebanese, non-armenian, non-saudi traits, makes me less fitting in any place.)
don't get me mistaken though. i want to find home. one of my favourite lines from any movie is "It's like you feel homesick for a place that doesn't even exist."
